Bike Tour of the Local Extra Virgin Oil

This tour is dedicated to you who love nature and want to recharge your batteries! Everything will take place by bike, in total relaxation, you will ride in a slow way to enjoy the environment that will surround you. The appointment is for 9.00 am in Montalbano di Fasano, we will immerse ourselves in the expanses of olive trees and we will reach the ancient Via Traiana that connected Rome to Brindisi and that connects the territories of Fasano and Ostuni through a paved cycle path, low vehicular traffic, full of interesting ideas that explain what was once rural life. During the itinerary you will discover the history of the oil, from the cultivation to the harvest of the olives, passing through the different methods of production according to the purposes of use: from lampante oil to that of high quality telling centuries of history and passion that have evolved over time without losing the direct link with the Apulian community.

During the itinerary we will visit an underground oil mill with old millstones and presses, a fortified farm, a modern oil mill and an ancient olive grove and you can taste the yellow gold: our extra virgin olive oil.
